5+ years expTalent Edge Recruiting is seeking an experienced on-site Mechanical HVAC Estimator to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for HVAC and mechanical projects, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and supporting project operations from bid through execution.

Responsibilities
Review and interpret bid documents for assigned projects
Prepare detailed HVAC and mechanical labor and material take-offs (ductwork, piping, hydronic, steam)
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to request and evaluate pricing
Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed
Build and maintain relationships with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors
Partner with project operations during handoffs and throughout project execution
Stay current on applicable codes, labor practices, and material updates
Support value engineering and design-assist efforts by identifying cost-saving options
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in HVAC and mechanical projects
Background in mechanical systems or engineering
Experience in commercial, industrial, or healthcare projects
Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, Accubid, Spectrum, Excel)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
