Entry Level Chemist & Chemical Engineer Chemical Engineering

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is dedicated to ensuring the safety and reliability of the nation’s naval nuclear reactors. They are looking for an Entry Level Chemist & Chemical Engineer to oversee core manufacturing activities and develop future manufacturing processes while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Help coordinate and oversee ongoing core production activities
Help develop and qualify the manufacturing processes of tomorrow
Work with a wide range of stakeholders to solve complex real-world problems encountered during the manufacturing process
Balance quality with cost/schedule
Team with vendor engineers to develop improved and more efficient manufacturing processes focusing on improved manufacturing margin, improved performance, reduced cost, and/or reduced span
Prepare and review documentation to formalize recommendations and adjudicate product acceptability
Perform project management functions such as planning, cost estimating, subcontract management, and management of budgets across multiple organizations

Required

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field
Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field
All candidates must be U.S. citizens
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter
All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707

Preferred

Ability to team/collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Previous manufacturing experience
