Automotive Technician

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technician to support the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) and Structural Test teams at Polaris. This role plays a critical part in developing and validating NVH and component performance for Polaris snowmobiles, involving hands-on testing, data acquisition, and analysis in both lab and field environments.

Responsibilities

Conduct mechanical and NVH testing of vehicle components and systems to support product development
Set up, execute, and monitor tests; collect and analyze data independently or as part of a team
Assist with product development issues by performing assessments, identifying root causes, and supporting resolutions
Support design improvements through NVH and component validation feedback
Maintain and calibrate test equipment and laboratory systems
Participate in lab, field, and vehicle testing activities
Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and project objectives

Required

Strong mechanical aptitude
Effective communication and organizational skills
2+ years of related technical experience
Familiarity with product development or engineering processes
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Ability to plan, prioritize, and follow through on tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate or learn to operate Polaris snowmobile products
Understanding of lab safety protocols and PPE compliance

Preferred

2-year technology degree
4+ years of related technical experience
Basic understanding of sound measurement and data acquisition techniques (training provided)
Hands-on knowledge of snowmobile systems
Ability to interpret CAD models and mechanical drawings
General fabrication skills (welding, machining, etc.)
CDL or willingness to obtain (for transporting test vehicles and equipment)
