Responsibilities

Receive engine-specific workscopes, SMI’s, repair order, etc. from Service Engineering, Induction Planning Team, and/or customers, then evaluate and translate into an LMS Specific work package or enterprise tool (as applicable). Review incoming records for workscope applicability and configuration management to include Service Bulletin and Airworthiness Directive reviews
Partner with Operations and Customer Support teams to coordinate workscopes to effectively complete engine repairs in the shop or at offsite locations throughout the world
Initiate engineering cases within the Pratt & Whitney Engineering organization and follow through on disposition to avoid engineering related delays to On Time Delivery
Collaborate with the Quality Department in producing comprehensive shop visit report (as applicable) and ensuring completed engine (and engine records) meets configuration and all Customer Workscope requirements
Participate in ongoing efforts to establish additional repair capabilities as required using CORE principles, supporting the procurement activities and assisting in industrialization of aforementioned capabilities
Assist in addressing customer inquiries as it pertains to workscope determination and approval
Liaison across multiple departments/functions (to include both internal and external teams as well as customers) to ensure seamless service and work scope execution
Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to assure Pratt & Whitney engines meet or exceed Customer expectations. Participate in problem-solving process to generate on-wing/near wing technical solutions to engine removal drivers
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and tasks. Ensure consistency with engineering policies and procedures, and customer requirements
Support CORE activities as required. Lead CORE activities within the Engineering department

Required

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future
Advanced degree and 5+ years of engineering, operations and/or technical experience within an Aerospace, Aftermarket MRO or engine assembly environment; OR Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Military or Technical training (AMT or A&P) and 12+ years of relevant industry experience

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license
Advanced knowledge and experience working with gas turbine engines ideally within a Disassembly, Assembly & Test (DAT) or FAA Repair Station environment
Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 145 as it pertains to a repair station Quality requirements
Experience reading and/or interpreting engine manuals and overhaul Quality standards
Experience working with Microsoft Office, SAP and Solumina G8 or equivalent Engine Maintenance System
Organizational and project management skills
Continuous Improvement experience such as LEAN, CORE, ACE, or Six-Sigma training
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and motivate teams to achieve business goals
