TAX COMPLIANCE REPRESENTATIVE
The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest State departments in California, dedicated to connecting job seekers and employers. The Tax Compliance Representative (TCR) is responsible for handling collection-related inquiries and ensuring compliance with tax laws while assisting taxpayers with delinquent tax issues.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Responding to all facets of collection related telephone inquiries
Processing routine and complex correspondence in regard to delinquent tax liabilities and/or delinquent tax returns
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies
Assists the taxpayer/debtor in complying with the laws
Collects delinquent taxes
Information gathering
Account analysis
Processing forms received to generate required account adjustments
Negotiating and establishing installment agreements
Qualification
Required
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position
