Responsibilities
Assist with mediating disputes, terminations, and administering disciplinary procedures
Advise managers on employee-related human resource policies, procedures, programs, and laws and recommend changes as needed
Gather data, create, and analyze quarterly and annual turnover reports. Gather and maintain affirmative action program information and file EEO-1 reports annually
Implement new hire orientation, employee recognition programs, and other related HR programs
Investigate employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and /or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other ongoing HR training opportunities
Assist in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals
Maintain HRIS records and compile reports from database
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in human resources management preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
