Biology Instructor Pool-Part-Time
North Orange County Community College District is seeking adjunct instructors for their Natural Sciences Division. The role involves teaching general biology, human biology, and biotechnology courses on campus or at dual enrollment sites for the Fall 2025 semester and beyond.

Responsibilities
Teach general biology lecture and lab courses, human biology lecture and lab courses, and biotechnology lecture and lab courses on campus or at dual enrollment sites
Qualification
Required
Master's in any biological science
Bachelor's in any biological science AND Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science
Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee

All degrees and course work used to satisfy the required minimum qualifications must be submitted and from accredited postsecondary institutions
Evaluations of foreign degrees and/or course work are required
The minimum required number of references for this position is one (1)
The candidate selected for employment will be required to provide the following: official transcripts and verification of experience prior to the first duty day, identification and employment eligibility as outlined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act, fingerprints and required medical certification pursuant to statute

Preferred
MS or advanced degree in biology, cellular biology, developmental biology, ecology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or allied fields
Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps
