Responsibilities
Provide strategic communications support for key initiatives across various departments in the organization
Identify and define business challenges and opportunities and develop strategies and tactics to effectively communicate updates with external audiences
Support the development of social media and blog content through visual and written storytelling
Support PR leadership in crisis communications work
Draft announcements, holding statements, website language and other assets to support key initiatives
Provide informed communication recommendations to internal leadership and business partners, considering multiple factors, risks and opportunities
Monitoring and reporting on PR related activities
Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of healthcare industry news, trends, and regulatory developments to inform strategic communications recommendations and workplans
Qualification
Required
5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered
Proven experience in effectively communicating with top-level executives and external stakeholders
Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively within the company
Demonstrable skills in media relations and social media development
Demonstrated ability to present complex business ideas, strategies and results succinctly and persuasively at a senior executive level
Demonstrates highly effective writing skills and verbal presentation skills that drives impactful stakeholder action
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong organizational skills and an ability to work quickly under pressure
High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of health industry preferred
