Responsibilities
Write individual test cases based on product requirements to functionally test a new feature, enhancement or bug fix
Write automated tests for new and existing code to ensure compatibility with documented regression tests
Help the Development team grow towards continuous integration / continuous delivery
Generate bug reports in JIRA while documenting the exact steps to reproduce each issue. Document test cases executed in each JIRA case
Provide estimates of time to complete a set of test cases for a given sprint and/or release
Perform load testing and other non-functional tests to ensure the products are performing as expected under load
Setup data as needed in the test database(s) in preparation for testing a specific feature
Certify the quality of AI-based systems, including hands-on testing of chatbots for intent recognition, conversational flow, response accuracy, and edge case handling
Ensure AI reliability and fairness: Execute test cases to identify issues related to bias, fairness, and model robustness
Qualification
Required
Eligible to work in the US, pass a background check and no B2B contracts. Must be a US Citizen and reside at an address (verifiable) within the United States
7+ years experience performing quality assurance on web-based applications & JSON REST APIs
Ability to test software with the following stack: FrontEnd – Vuejs / Nuxt JS, Backend – PHP / Laravel, Python, Database – Postgres / MySQL, API - JSON, Linux, Docker, AWS, AI / ML / LLM / NLP
5+ years experience generating test cases based on written requirements
2+ years testing AI / ML / NLP / LLM based applications and/or AI driven ChatBOTS
Proficient in the use of JIRA (and the administration of Users / Workflows / Screens is a plus)
Strong understanding of test case automation and utilizing test automation tools
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Experience using Postman (or similar) to test and verify REST APIs
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management (GITLab), build processes (Docker / Kubernetes), and related testing
Proficient with Linux server environments and querying relational databases (mysql, postgres)
Comfortable with the Agile and Lean development processes
Entrepreneurial spirit and focus on delivering value into customers hands
Ability to contribute anywhere in the stack and wear multiple hats
Self-starter, self-motivated, and willing to work on complex challenges
Able to write and speak clearly about complex systems and issues for both technical and layman audiences

REST API testing: 2+ years (Required)
