Mine Engineer Summer Intern – Summer 2026
SSR Mining Inc. is an intermediate gold company with five producing assets located in the USA, Turkey, Canada, and Argentina. The Mine Engineer Intern will support the Technical Services team at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, contributing to various technical projects and gaining exposure to real-world mine engineering in an open-pit gold mining environment.

Responsibilities
Assist with and contribute to small-to-medium-sized engineering projects aligned with department goals
Perform technical research and analysis; compile findings and draw meaningful conclusions
Prepare, summarize, and present performance metrics and technical reports as required
Support day-to-day activities of the Technical Services department and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, with an expected graduation date of December 2025 or later
Understanding of basic engineering principles and practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong commitment to safety and customer service
Valid driver's license
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship
Preferred
Exposure to open-pit, hard rock mining operations
Familiarity with Hexagon MineSight and AutoCAD
Exposure to Dispatch Fleet Management Systems
Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
