Responsibilities

Lead the Platform: Serve as the technical and strategic lead for Alation, managing everything from metadata ingestion to lineage
Build the Blueprint: Design data stewardship programs and business glossaries that people actually use
Be the Expert: Bridge the gap between IT and Business, showing stakeholders how governed data leads to faster, better decisions
Drive Adoption: Conduct workshops and training to ensure Alation becomes the 'heart' of the data organization

Required

Proven Alation Experience: You've been in the trenches with Alation for 3+ years and know its capabilities inside and out
Governance DNA: You understand DAMA principles and how to apply them to modern cloud environments (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
Houston Presence: You are local to or willing to commute to the Houston area for 3 days of on-site collaboration per week
Communication Skills: You can explain complex data lineage to a C-suite executive just as easily as you can to a Data Engineer
