The role involves preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and mentoring junior accounting staff.

Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger, accruals, and adjustments
Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, prepaid, and accrued accounts
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare financial statements and internal management reports
Analyze account variances and provide explanations or recommendations
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
Assist with audits, providing supporting schedules and documentation
Mentor or provide guidance to Staff Accountant I or junior accounting staff
Participate in ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and ERP implementations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or multi-entity environments
Solid understanding of GAAP and intermediate accounting principles
Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, or financial reporting for complex organizations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Proficient with ERP/accounting software
Ability to generate reports, perform reconciliations, and manage data accurately
Ability to manipulate spreadsheets, run queries, and assist in reporting and analysis
Ability to sit at computer for extended periods
Ability to use standard office equipment (computers, printers, scanners)
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
Preferred
Experience in corporate or multi-entity environments
Familiarity with payroll, fixed assets, and cost accounting processes
Experience with D65 ERP/accounting software
