Responsibilities
Apply systems engineering principles to support the design, testing, and evaluation of complex software and embedded systems
Modify and support databases and database management systems to meet evolving project needs
Collaborate with development engineers to test new software releases, including real-world vehicle testing and documentation of results
Analyze user and system requirements to estimate project scope, timelines, and costs
Troubleshoot system and connectivity issues using Linux and networking tools
Work closely with third-party vendors to gather requirements and provide performance feedback
Support system testing efforts, including requirements review, test plan creation, execution, and documentation
Participate in Agile project teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or Systems Engineering
3–5 years of relevant professional experience (internships accepted if related to connectivity, networking, or embedded systems)
Strong understanding of: IP networking fundamentals, LTE/5G and/or bonded cellular technologies, Linux configuration and debugging, Network analysis tools (Wireshark, iperf, tcpdump)
Experience creating and executing test plans
Familiarity with requirements tools such as Jama or DOORS
Preferred
Experience with V2X or remote-control systems
Python or Bash automation
Embedded gateways (Cradlepoint, Peplink, Sierra, etc.)
Network redundancy and failover concepts
RF and antenna fundamentals
Exposure to safety-critical or autonomy systems
