Medicaid Budget and Policy Analyst

The State of Wisconsin's Department of Health Services is seeking a Medicaid Budget and Policy Analyst to provide fiscal and policy analysis for Medicaid programs. Responsibilities

Contributing analysis to the Medicaid cost projection and budget process. This includes tracking and analyzing Medicaid claims, encounters, fiscal transactions, and program enrollment using data from multiple sources and making recommendations on trend adjustments and other budget assumption changes needed to maximize the Medicaid cost projection’s accuracy
Developing new budget and policy initiatives for possible inclusion in the biennial budget or separate legislation
Managing relationships and coordinating information sharing between the Department, the State Budget Office (SBO), and the Legislative Fiscal Bureau (LFB) related to assigned Medicaid programs and service areas
