Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Technologist the assistant performs a wide variety of specific and specialized duties which require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative
Functions as a team member/will perform various administrative duties, assisting technologist with paperwork
Assist in room/equipment prep/set up/positioning of patients/scheduling and transportation of paperwork and or/patients to expedite exams
Assistants may need to research safety check lists and require working in a highly magnetic field
They may act as chaperones during exams
Qualification
Required
Ability to speak, read and write English
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent/Associate Degree
One (1) year experience required
Computer literate/PACS, Medical terminology required
Professional demeanor/customer service a must
Good attendance and punctuality required
Preferred
Possess core competencies/CNA or Medical Assistant preferred
Spanish preferred
Knowledge of EPIC, PACS/RIS/Power injector/Radiation MRI safety
