Indium Corporation is seeking an Engineering Technician I to provide hands-on technical support to engineering functions. The role involves assisting during the design, development, assembly, and testing phases of various equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

Support engineering staff during the assembly, test and qualification of various equipment, instrumentation, tooling, etc. required for process systems
Prepare simple assembly drawings, equipment/floor layouts, specifications, training documentation, process instructions and procedures, etc. via hand drawn sketches and standard office applications
Utilize a variety of standard test equipment, gauges and other measurement equipment to evaluate and document the performance of components, sub-assemblies and complex process systems
Gather and organize data and other input in support of Return on Investment (ROI) cost analysis, process efficiency and improvement, capability and tolerancing studies, etc
Provide hands-on assembly, troubleshooting and repair of components, sub-assemblies and final systems using formalized drawings, sketches or detailed verbal and/or written instructions
Function as an effective team member through collaboration, conflict resolution, encouragement, respectful interactions with co-workers, active listening etc
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree in technical field preferred
2 years of work related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
experience may be considered in lieu of Associate's degree
Hands on mechanical knowledge and experience is a must
Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions
Communicates in a clear, organized and professional manner
Must possess a high degree of energy and drive

Preferred

Associates degree in technical field preferred
Experience with design applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) preferred
