Responsibilities

Acts as an Advisor on DLA Disposition Services procedures, regulatory guidance, plans, Standard Operating Procedures and Customer management and public sales
Disposes of property through reutilization, transfer, donation, special programs, and demil/destruction scrap service contracts
Develops and documents policy for both internal processes and administrative/technical controls
Interacts directly and frequently with agencies outside DLA Disposition Services to include Department of Defense (DoD), Headquarters (HQs) DLA, other governmental agencies and authorized customers in private/commercial organizations
Provides policy direction, technical guidance and administrative coordination to a staff of personnel engaged in the development of plans, policy, initiatives, goals, particularly in the area of Reutilization and Sale of property

Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access
Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal

Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service

Completion of Supervisory Certification Program: Required

Financial Disclosure Requirement: Required
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled
To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector
Creditable specialized experience includes: Recommending changes and adjusts processes to operate within DoD and DLA guidance and warfighter requirements
Planning policy direction, technical guidance and administrative coordination in the area of processing Hazardous, DEMIL or other controlled property worldwide
Submitting operating plan recommendations, tracks and monitors contract performance, and cost reduction programs
