PARALEGAL/LEGAL ASSISTANT (HOUSING) - Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS)

Illinois Legal Aid Online is dedicated to providing free legal services to low-income individuals in the Chicago area. The Paralegal/Legal Assistant will assist CVLS staff attorneys in advising residential landlords about evictions, handling client intakes, maintaining case records, and performing administrative tasks.

Required

Fluency in Spanish is required
The ability to stay organized and keep program components organized
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively to different people from all ages and walks of life
Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom
Experience working with a database is a plus
The drive to do your job well and the creativity to improve program mechanics
The ability to accept supervision while also being self-motivated and self-reliant
The ability to work independently and in a team
