Responsibilities

Serve as the primary legal partner to the North American enterprise sales team by drafting and negotiating outbound commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements and related documents such as DPAs, BAAs, and product-specific terms
Lead and manage the U.S. Commercial Legal team, providing guidance, oversight, and escalation support
Enable and train sales teams by providing direct guidance on commonly requested revisions, non-standard terms, and deal structures
Respond to general commercial contract questions and provide practical, business-focused legal advice
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support efficient and scalable contracting processes

Required

Candidates must be able to work full-time
Company's preferred pricing model is monthly with a budget of $16,500 – $18,500 per month
Candidates with prior in-house experience are strongly preferred
Candidates will be employed through an Employer of Record (EOR) for the duration of the engagement

Preferred

Prior experience managing a commercial legal team for a SaaS company
Draft, review, and negotiate complex outbound commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements and related ancillary documents
Provide training and enablement support to sales teams on contracting standards and playbooks
Advise on non-standard contract terms and structures and escalate issues as appropriate
Partner effectively with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, and legal
