Asst Lab Technician
RTX is transforming the future of flight by designing and servicing advanced engines. They are seeking an energetic entry-level Lab Technician to support the MCL Laboratory Group, responsible for testing aerospace materials and ensuring compliance with specifications.

Responsibilities
Lab Tech responsible for metallurgical sample preparation, evaluation, disposition and quality documentation of materials/processes
Interpret blue prints, specifications, procedures and laboratory manuals to assess what testing is required and conformance to requirements
Interact with the shop to help respond to metallurgical problems and develop effective root cause and corrective action as appropriate
An effective team player and contributor is sought who will help the lab maintain it’s EH&S and operating requirements to assure a safe and productive working environment
Perform analyses related to the evaluation of aerospace materials for compliance to standards
Possess a strong work ethic; the ability to work independently, and prioritize work flow, is critical
Provide clear, concise, and accurate lab reports
Interact effectively with customers at all levels
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Successful candidate may have prior metallurgical laboratory experience, and understanding of lab protocols
