Responsibilities
Design, develop, program, and commission industrial automation and control systems
Lead automation projects from concept through implementation and startup
Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
Troubleshoot and optimize existing automated systems to improve performance and reliability
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to define automation requirements
Ensure systems comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and internal best practices
Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Support continuous improvement initiatives and new technology adoption
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering
Strong experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks
Proficiency in at least one major PLC platform (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider)
Experience with system integration, commissioning, and field troubleshooting
Solid understanding of electrical schematics, instrumentation, and control panels
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Preferred
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Knowledge of robotics, vision systems, or motion control
Familiarity with safety systems and functional safety standards
Project leadership or project management experience
