Responsibilities

Capture visual content and edit long-form stories and content
Work with producers, multi-media journalists and photojournalists to ensure a high quality product consistent with the shows brand
Responsible for operating various equipment, including but not limited to video camera and video editing equipment
Maintain video archive filing system
Gathers story related materials (sound and video) on a timely basis
Coordinates remote and studio events, creating synergy between remote and studio productions
Collaborates with field teams and affiliates on breaking stories, sharing of information
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Associate's degree in journalism or related field preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in related field preferred
Proficiency in non-linear editing, including Final Cut Pro
Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to the Web site
Self-starter, ability to work in a team environment, performing wide range of functions in a boundary-less way
Able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
