Responsibilities
Analyze and improve job design, workflows, and operational processes to enhance effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency
Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices through professional development and organizational participation
Maintain deep knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and regulatory requirements impacting financial operations
Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
Prepare, develop, and monitor annual operating budgets aligned with organizational goals
Establish and monitor annual departmental goals and objectives that support the mission and strategic priorities of the organization
Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff, including performance management and disciplinary recommendations
Promote staff development and ensure team members have opportunities for ongoing education and professional growth
Serve as a financial liaison between the Foundation and the hospital system
Lead or support major financial and organizational initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a financial leadership role
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the non-profit sector
Demonstrated experience in healthcare financial environments, preferably within a large hospital system
Experience with grants management
Experience working with or within a Foundation environment
Preferred
Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration
Advanced experience in healthcare foundations or philanthropic organizations
