Senior Database Administrator (DBA)
Chromalloy Corporation is a global engineering and solutions company that provides aftermarket parts and repairs for aircraft engines and gas turbines. They are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) who will lead the installation, support, and maintenance of databases, primarily focusing on Microsoft SQL, while also providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

Responsibilities
Deliver technical expertise building, monitoring, and optimizing the performance of our SQL and/or Oracle database servers while aligning to our businesses goals
Implement robust performance monitoring tools for Microsoft SQL Server
Analyze query execution plans and optimize SQL queries for better performance
Identify and resolve bottlenecks related to indexing, query performance, and resource utilization
Collaborate and consult with users, system administrators, and software developers to overcome operational and/or technical issues and problems to improve application code and database interactions
Utilize strong interpersonal skills in dealing with diverse skill sets and personalities and work effectively as a team player
Lead cross functional team capacity planning exercises related to environment, database, and applications ensuring best practices are followed
Mentor less experienced team members
Establish guidelines as it pertains to database and technology roadmap, architecture, engineering, and provisioning
Manage the completion of database administrator work, meeting deadlines, and providing deliverables to the customer
Serve as the subject matter expert of database related workflows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of demonstrated experience and expertise administering Microsoft SQL Server databases
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator
Familiarity with SSIS/Azure Data Factory development, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data transformation tools
Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
Preferred
Previous hands-on software development experience is a plus
Epicor ERP Experience is a plus
Familiarity with Oracle and/or AS/400 systems is a plus
