Responsibilities

Ensure providers’ credentialing requirements are in compliance with established criteria
Provide guidance to clinic staff in completing required documentation of establishing privileges for healthcare providers
Establish and maintain a Practitioner Credentials file
Verify the authenticity of source documents
Assist the Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator in developing short- and long-term goals necessary to accomplish mission of credentialing
Provide ongoing review of regulatory requirements
Identify resources necessary for accomplishing mission and function of credentials and privileging program
Prepare agendas, slides, and meeting minutes for Medical Executive Committee (MEC) and credentials related meetings
Process the application for delineated clinical privileges either in paper format or Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) Electronic Format

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes 1) ensuring providers' credentialing requirements are in compliance with established criteria developing, 2) provides guidance to clinic staff in completing required documentation of establishing privileges for healthcare providers and 3) establish and maintain a Practitioner Credentials file
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Health Care Management or Health Care Administration
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations
This position has a TDY or business travel requirement of 10%
This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment
This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
