Responsibilities
Pay Application Verification: Randomly audit 20% of line items on monthly contractor pay applications. You will verify that the percentage of completion claimed matches the actual work installed in the field
Field Auditing (70% Field / 30% Office): Spend the majority of your time walking the site to inspect progress, with the remaining time dedicated to data analysis and reporting
Technical Review: Utilize 2D drawings and 3D models (BIM) to identify specific materials, equipment, and systems included in the contractor’s claims
Progress Reporting: Deliver clear, data-backed analysis of actual completion percentages to the Project Controls Team to support invoice approval or adjustment
Qualification
Required
5+ years of field experience in large-scale construction
Deep understanding of how pay applications are developed, structured, and processed
Proficiency in reading 2D drawings (Required)
Advanced Excel skills for data tracking and audit reporting
Ability to provide unbiased, objective assessments of work progress
Comfortable interfacing with both contractors in the field and project controls leadership in the office
High attention to detail when comparing line-item costs to physical infrastructure
Preferred
Experience in Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical/Biotech) is highly preferred
Experience navigating 3D models/BIM (Highly Preferred)
A degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Construction Management is preferred
