IT Finance Project Manager
Per Sé Group is seeking a senior IT Finance Project Manager to lead high-visibility, enterprise-level financial system initiatives. The role involves partnering with business and IT leadership to ensure predictable delivery and strong financial controls across large-scale SAP Finance and Tagetik initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead medium to large, cross-functional IT Finance projects from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost, and quality
Partner with business stakeholders and executive sponsors to uphold project objectives, priorities, and outcomes
Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk registers
Provide clear, concise executive-level communication, including weekly status reporting and PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership
Maintain strong project governance through regular status meetings, reviews, and structured escalation processes
Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities
Collaborate with Financial Analysts to manage project budgets, forecasts, accruals, and reclassifications
Manage vendor and system integrator relationships, ensuring alignment with SOWs, deliverables, timelines, and invoicing
Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, Finance, and external partners in a matrixed environment
Support QA, UAT, and deployment activities, ensuring alignment with project milestones and delivery standards
Ensure all project documentation and artifacts meet organizational governance and PMO standards
Promote and enforce best-in-class project management practices across the project team
Qualification
Required
8–10+ years of experience managing enterprise-scale IT and Finance transformation projects
Strong experience with SAP Finance modules and large ERP implementations
Experience delivering projects involving Tagetik or similar financial performance management systems
Proven success managing multi-million-dollar projects with cross-functional and multi-vendor teams
Experience working with system integrators, vendors, and Big 4/Big 5 consulting partners
Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project delivery methodologies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project
Strong experience creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PMP certification (required or strongly preferred)
Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree a plus)
Preferred
Financial transformation or business process re-engineering initiatives
Experience tracking QA and UAT efforts using tools such as qTest
Experience working in regulated or asset-intensive industries (energy experience a plus)
Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, fast-changing environments
