Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP) in accordance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and host nation regulations
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are effectively communicated and enforced across all sites
Conduct regular site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and job hazard analyses (JHAs)
Lead internal audits and support external audits by clients or regulatory agencies
Track and ensure timely closure of safety-related findings and corrective actions
Deliver safety orientation and ongoing training for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors
Maintain training records and ensure certifications are current and compliant
Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting
Maintain incident logs and ensure timely submission of reports to stakeholders
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, contract requirements, and company policies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), permits, and inspection records
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills
Coordinate with local emergency services and site leadership to ensure readiness
Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters
Participate in client meetings, safety briefings, and performance reviews
Provide regular safety performance reports and recommendations to leadership

Required

Must be a U.S. citizen
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, OR a related field or equivalent experience), OR equivalent experience in lieu of a formal degree
Five (5) years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/ managing general construction (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls)
Five (5) years of continuous general industry safety experience in supervising/managing general industry (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls)
Must have completed the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety course and be familiar with EM 385-1-1 requirements
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or equivalent certification preferred
Experience working in the Middle East or in austere environments is highly desirable
Familiarity with U.S. Government contracting and safety compliance requirements is a plus
