Senior Director, Human Resources

Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, culture, and organizational development
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and diversity
Participates as a member of the Senior Leadership Team at LiveOnNY in developing and achieving performance goals. Serves as back-up to the Vice President Human Resources
Oversee HRIS for timekeeping, scheduling, and workforce analytics
Manage ATS for recruitment and ensure seamless candidate experience
Ensure data integrity and leverage HR technology for reporting and decision-making
Collaborates with VPHR to maintain governance of performance appraisal system in LMS. Assess efficacy of performance management processes for continuous improvement
Lead recruitment strategies for clinical and non-clinical roles, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Oversee recruitment, screening, hiring, and advertising and develop appropriate screening and selection methodologies for potential candidates
Implement succession planning and leadership development programs
Oversee performance management processes and coaching initiatives
Maintains governance of performance appraisal system in LMS. Assess efficacy of performance management processes for continuous improvement
Work closely with VPHR, this role will foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by managing employee relations, resolving conflicts, and conducting workplace investigations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as healthcare-specific regulations
Maintain policies and procedures in alignment with accreditation and regulatory standards
Manage employee relations and investigations with fairness and confidentiality
Coordinates staff training with the team and collaborates to ensure educational curricula align with current standards of practice. Develops key learning opportunities for departments that comply with CMS, NYS DOH, FDA, and OPTN training regulations
Investigating employee complaints and fostering a positive work environment and keeping confidential records of all incidents and complaints. Recommends corrective action. Reports appropriate incidents to the VPHR for proper follow-through with counsel as appropriate and may assist with investigation and documentation of occurrences
Collaborates with VPHR to train Directors and Managers regarding human resource laws and critical issues in human resources management related to maintaining high performance work systems
Oversee competitive compensation structures and benefits programs
Conduct market analysis and ensure pay equity across roles
Partner with finance on budgeting and workforce cost management
Participate in the selection of all benefits programs (e.g. health insurance, retirement, EAP, etc.). Administers benefits programs and conducts periodic benefits orientation for all staff, participating in the onboarding of new hires

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior role
Expertise in HRIS and ATS systems
Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills

Preferred

Master's degree
Experience in healthcare or OPO environment
Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
