InternMerrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate school Civil or Environmental Engineering student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2026 at their Tampa, FL office. The internship will provide an opportunity to gain technical experience in transportation engineering, including tasks in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and project development.

Responsibilities
Gain technical experience in the field of transportation engineering
Be exposed to a variety of tasks in traffic engineering, transportation planning, Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Studies, roadway and site design, and transportation environmental services for various local, state, and private clients
Collaborate with other disciplines, interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, communicate, and problem solve
Qualification
Required
Must have graduation date after August 2026 to be eligible
Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in grad school
Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred
Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic and HCS
ArcGIS
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D and Bentley Open Roads Designer
Local candidates preferred
