Responsibilities
Serve as the forecasting SME and interface on Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) projects
Lead and champion forecasting strategies and efforts that increase efficiency, profitability, and sustain company growth through improved forecasting effectiveness and customer service levels
Communicates opportunities and risks to management on a proactive basis
Develop tools and platforms to standardize demand forecasts across carriers to incorporate key variables and parameters that impact demand forecasts
Leverage forecasting and inventory planning systems to generate 6-month rolling demand forecast, purchasing plans and target stocking levels
Partner with supply chain/production/manufacturing teams to align product demand with supply/production plans
Establish processes and metrics to assess and continually improve scope and accuracy of forecasting platform and outputs
Support the implementation of company programs and software solutions to ensure the success of Assurant Wireless
Actively participate in the development and implementation of the Global and Executive S&OP process
Working with all S&OP participants, continue to improve the effectiveness and execution of the Global and Executive S&OP
Qualification
Required
BS in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Mathematics, or Computer Science
3 years' experience in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning that includes knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
Preferred
Strong analytical abilities – job requires analyzing information and using logic to identify trends, draw conclusions, and address work-related issues and problems from vast amounts of data
Proven knowledge and proficiency in forecast modeling platforms and tools
APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification or class work
