Responsibilities

Perform a full range of contractual, and analysis services to the Department
Drafting, compiling and routing full contract packages
Compliance drafting and revising statements of work (SOW) that accurately reflect program work plans
Reviewing vendor agreements
Reviewing redlines to PO and contract terms and conditions
Creating purchase orders
Reviewing waiver requests
Providing consultation and guidance to program staff to ensure understanding and adherence to federal and state requirements
Assisting with the development of standards, guidance and tools to support customers
Collaborating with assigned Division’s compliance, fiscal, and program staff to efficiently and effectively process contracts, purchase orders, and other agreements in a timely manner
Making recommendations to the program managers to ensure complete and appropriate utilization of funds in contracts
Maintains a tracking log
Drafts correspondence
Maintains electronic files
Establishes timelines for the programs they support
Works with team members when improvements to tools, processes and customer service are needed

Required

Six (6) years of relevant experience in contract administration, contract management, contract monitoring, accounts payable, grant management, fiscal management, or procurement
A combination of related education in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, or a closely related field and/or relevant experience in contract administration, contract management, contract monitoring, accounts payable, grant management, fiscal management, or procurement equal to six (6) years
This experience must be substantiated within the Work Experience section of your application

Preferred

Experience discerning the technicalities, including language, of contractual agreements
Experience adapting work to the needs of an organization as they relate to various contracts
Experience in detecting inaccuracies, ambiguities, or inconsistencies in the design of a contract
Experience designing and reviewing contracts
Experience in planning and developing a contract and all the major components of a contract
Experience with the procurement process
Experience working with the components of a Statement of Work, including project description, definitions, performance requirements/deliverables
Experience prioritizing work, including planning and organizing work assignments effectively
Working knowledge of the State Fiscal and Procurement Rules
Prior experience related to the legal aspects of state contracting or procurement
