Responsibilities
Lead backend development for LMS migration and ongoing enhancements
Build and maintain integrations (especially Workday)
Develop AI agents in later project phases
Create Python-based automation scripts and workflow tooling
Support automation testing under SDLC 2.0
Work with configuration-driven LMS features
Mentor junior team members and guide technical decisions
Adapt to evolving requirements as the platform matures
Qualification
Required
Strong Java development (8–12+ years ideal)
Solid AWS engineering (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, S3, etc.)
REST API development and systems integration
Ownership of end-to-end technical design and delivery
Contribute to automation test creation
Execute and enhance existing automated test suites
Support testing for integrations and platform changes
Ensure high-quality code delivery across all environments
Strong Java engineering background
Hands-on AWS experience
Python scripting (for AI + automation)
Experience integrating enterprise systems
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to operate independently in a small team
Preferred
Experience building AI agents, not statistical modeling
Hands-on implementation using agent frameworks or orchestration layers
Python scripting for automation, workflows, and agent behavior
Ability to leverage new LMS capabilities to build AI-driven features in later phases
Experience with AI agent frameworks
Prior work with LMS platforms (Saba / Cornerstone / Workday Learning)
Configuration experience within learning systems
Workday integration experience
Exposure to modernization or migration projects
