Responsibilities
Research seasonal trends, competitive market offerings, and customer insights to drive commercial design direction
Design original outerwear styles that balance fashion, function, and cost
Create CADs, flats, and detailed tech packs
Develop designs with an understanding of price points, materials, and production efficiencies
Select and approve fabrics, trims, and colors
Participate in fittings and collaborate with technical design and production partners to ensure consistent fit and quality
Work cross-functionally with merchandising, sales, production, and sourcing to meet calendar and line plan goals
Communicate clearly with overseas vendors from concept to completion on styles
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience designing women's outerwear
Strong understanding of commercial construction, fit standards, and cost-driven design
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Organized, deadline-oriented, and able to multitask
Strong eye for color
Collaborative team player
Preferred
PLM experience a plus
