Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services and applications using Java and related frameworks
Design and implement automated test frameworks for APIs and UI workflows
Write and execute automated test cases to validate functionality, performance, and reliability
Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define acceptance criteria and quality standards
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and faster releases
Identify, debug, and resolve defects across development and test environments
Participate in code reviews, ensuring clean, maintainable, and testable code
Contribute to test data management and environment setup
Support performance, regression, and integration testing initiatives
Qualification
Required
Strong experience with Java and object-oriented programming principles
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar (UI)
Rest Assured, Postman, or similar (API)
Experience building and maintaining automated test suites
Solid understanding of SDLC, test strategies, and quality engineering best practices
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Working knowledge of SQL and database validation
Preferred
Experience with Spring Boot or other Java backend frameworks
Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling
Background in Agile/Scrum development environments
Experience in e-commerce, fintech, or data-driven platforms is a plus
