Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using approved scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
Track progress, update schedules, and analyze variances to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables
Work closely with project managers, engineers, cost controllers, and contractors to collect and validate schedule data
Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities for optimization
Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc schedule reports with clear visuals, progress updates, and forecasts
Support project controls processes including earned value management (EVM), progress measurement, and integrated planning
Assist in developing baseline schedules and change management documentation
Ensure scheduling standards, coding structures, and best practices are consistently applied across all projects
Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and risk assessments, providing schedule insights and recommendations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
Proficiency in Primavera P6
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project scopes, and construction sequences
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in schedule development and reporting
Preferred
3–7 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within mining, heavy industrial, or large-scale construction
Experience with MS Project or other scheduling tools
Strong understanding of project management principles, project controls, and earned value methodologies
Experience working on capital projects in open pit, underground, processing, or infrastructure environments
Familiarity with cost control, budgeting, and risk management processes
Ability to manage multiple schedules across several active projects
Professional certifications such as PSP (AACE), PMI-SP, or PMP considered an asset
