As the Assistant Manager of the Distribution Center, you will partner with the General Manager to lead daily operations, oversee team performance, and ensure a high level of customer service and efficiency.

Responsibilities
Assist the General Manager in providing leadership, communication, managing logistics and creating effective teamwork throughout the Distribution Center
Helping establish, reinforce, track, and measure safety, quality, and performance goals for the Distribution Center
Lead continuous improvement initiatives in cooperation with the leadership team
Support in maintaining the physical condition of the Distribution, grounds, and material handling equipment
Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures to comply with legal and company requirements
Communicate with other department personnel to ensure coordination of Distribution Center activities with activities of other functions such as sales, records control and purchasing
Assume full responsibility in the absence of the Distribution Manager
Lead and mentor salaried and hourly leaders
Lead staffing, production planning, CI, and key initiatives
Lead changes and pivots throughout the day to ensure daily success
Qualification
Required
Prior supervisory experience (3 – 5 years) in operations/distribution
Bachelor's degree
Advanced to Intermediate skills in MS Office Products
Experience with labor management systems (i.e, Easy Metrics, TZA)
Experience with payroll systems (i.e. Workday)
WMS proficiency (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Blue Yonder)
Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with autonomy and ambiguity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Effective team building skills and a proven track record of success
