Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from inception to resolution
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
Take and defend depositions of insureds, adjusters, experts, and corporate representatives
Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration
Represent clients in court, including trials and hearings, as needed
Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and clear explanations of legal strategies
Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys
Stay abreast of developments in Texas insurance law and property claims
Qualification
Required
Full-time
2+ years of litigation experience - First Party Property Damage experience is a plus
Member of the Texas Bar and in good standing
Manage a caseload of first-party homeowner property insurance claims from inception to resolution
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
