Student Intern, Customer Applications
Tucson Electric Power is a leading utility company in Arizona, seeking a Customer Applications Student Intern in the Information Services department. The role involves assisting Programmer Analysts with the design, development, and support of information systems to enhance business processes across various departments.

Responsibilities
Assists IS personnel with interfaces used by multiple users and external partners
Assists with clients in the use of information technology and customer application systems
Assist with reviewing work requests from clients and assist with estimates for work to be performed based on industry standard estimation methodology
Participate in a team environment and assists with assignments as requested by the group or team lead
Assist with developing of software testing, validation requirements, and use cases during design process
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline with an expected graduation date of May 2027 or later
High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to protect highly sensitive and confidential information; Must be able to meet regular deadlines
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
Possess functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours; and up to 40 hours a week during the summer and school breaks
Student Interns must maintain the required hours for full-time student status, good academic standing at their college or university, as defined by the college or university and the GPA required for graduation by their college or university
Failure to maintain full-time status, good academic standing and/or the requisite GPA will result in Student Interns being deemed ineligible for participation in this program
Student Interns are employed on a temporary basis and are generally not eligible for some benefits; including holiday pay
Scheduling of work hours and assignments should be made taking into consideration that Student Interns are students first and employees second
Preferred
Experience with Linux and Windows
Java, .NET, Python, or SQL
Familiarity with CI/CD tools
