Information Technology Help Desk Technician
The Archdiocese of Hartford is seeking an experienced IT Help Desk Technician to be the first point of contact for technical support across the organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, assisting with installations and configurations, and documenting solutions.

Responsibilities
Provide frontline support for computers, phones, networks, and software
Install and configure hardware and applications
Document tickets and escalate issues as needed
Assist with system testing, data analysis, and IT process improvement
Support equipment moves, hardware setup, and daily IT operations
Stay current with emerging technologies
Represent the Archdiocese with professionalism and excellent service
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
3+ years of help desk or technical support experience
Experience with Windows, macOS, Linux, Windows Server
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches & Ubiquiti devices
Basic scripting (PowerShell a plus)
Strong communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to change
Preferred
CompTIA A+ or Network+ preferred
