Director of Sales

This position offers the opportunity to drive growth across conventional power and renewable energy markets, engaging with executive-level clients and leading the development of full-scale energy solutions.

Responsibilities
Originate new business and manage relationships with existing clients to drive revenue growth
Develop and implement sales strategies for conventional power and renewable energy products
Present comprehensive energy solutions to C-Suite prospects, including retail power, demand response, solar, onsite generation, and energy efficiency
Lead pre-deal contract negotiations and resolve special contract issues for large customer accounts
Coordinate with internal teams including Sales Support, Pricing, Credit, Trading, and Legal to ensure seamless client service
Respond to RFPs and bids, preparing proposals that meet client requirements and align with company objectives
Represent the company at industry events, forums, and conferences, presenting marketing materials and product offerings
Monitor market regulations, trends, and emerging technologies to maintain competitive positioning
Support internal departments in resolving retail business issues as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, energy, engineering, or related field
Minimum 4 years of experience in US deregulated electricity markets (ERCOT, PJM, ISO-NE, NYISO, MISO)
Proven expertise in selling energy solutions, including wind, solar, onsite generation, demand response, and energy efficiency
In-depth knowledge of wholesale and retail energy markets, product structures, and industry dynamics
Demonstrated ability to design and present integrated energy solutions to executive-level clients
Strong analytical skills with experience providing accurate, timely data-driven insights
Excellent business writing and presentation skills across multiple formats
Proficiency in managing complex contracts and coordinating cross-functional teams
Highly organized with exceptional time management and attention to detail
Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
