Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D and 3D models using computer-aided design software for engineering and manufacturing projects
Design and document electrical power and control wiring systems with precision and accuracy
Develop instrumentation loops and electrical schematics that meet project specifications
Produce cable tray layouts and routing plans for electrical installations
Generate instrumentation and electrical details for construction and installation teams
Prepare comprehensive cable schedules and documentation
Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements
Review and revise drawings based on engineering feedback and project changes
Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the design process
Travel to project sites as needed to support project teams and gather field information
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in AutoCAD software
Strong understanding of electrical design principles and standards
Knowledge of power and control system design
Expertise in creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Ability to design cable tray layouts and routing systems
Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation
Strong technical drawing and drafting capabilities
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills
Minimum 7 years of CAD design and drafting experience
Demonstrated background in power and control system design
Experience working with electrical engineering teams on complex projects
Preferred
Technical degree or certification in drafting, design technology, or related field preferred
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
