Responsibilities
Create and implement warehouse strategy, within the overall global and RNA Logistics strategy, considering long-term, short-term, and ongoing needs of manpower, warehouse space, and warehouse equipment
Monitor, manage, and maintain a safety culture that meets or exceeds annual safety targets
Manage operations to meet or exceed internal and external (RDC and Buffer operations) key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary
Manage the warehouse operation budget, and keep costs within budget
Identify and implement opportunities to support the expansion and growth of the business
Identify strategic sourcing solutions for warehouse services, supporting Support 3PL selection process in conjunction with service levels and cost
Maintain close relationship with corporate logistics for reporting, best practice, and strategy
Monitor and analyze inventory levels to identify trends, anticipate demand fluctuations, and make informed recommendations for inventory optimization throughout the US and Canada
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost savings within the CDC and RDCs
Ensure regular audits of RDCs and/or buffer warehouses are occurring to ensure they meet all BSH standards
Develop tactical and strategic plans to effectively manage warehouse requirements to secure future growth
Investigate root causes analysis for problem resolution and drive corrective actions for complaints related to handling and warehousing of finished products
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Four Year College Degree (Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field)
7-10 Years of Experience (Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution)
5-7 Years of People Manager Experience
Strong supply chain analytical capability
Acts as a leader and mentor to direct reports
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of integrated warehouse operations/solutions at a strategic level
Financial budget planning, analysis and reporting skills
Ability to write business reports and undertake presentations
Entrepreneurial approach with focus on continuous improvement
Strong communication skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment
Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized, with strong time management skills
High degree of independent decision making, strong problem identification and resolution skills
Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Strong problem solving skills
Experience with a LEAN work environment
Preferred
Master's Degree (Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field)
SAP R/3 experience is highly desired but not required
Understanding of Appliance Industry is a plus but not required
