Director of Sales and Marketing

Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive sustainable revenue growth across all channels
Lead and manage:
Internal sales team responding to inbound leads and customer inquiries
External sales team focused on VA, institutional, and strategic accounts
Establish sales targets, forecasts, and performance metrics; monitor results and adjust strategy as needed
Build and maintain relationships with key institutional customers, distributors, and partners
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and account expansion initiatives
Provide leadership oversight to the internal Customer Care team supporting existing customers and distributors
Ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience throughout the sales and ownership lifecycle
Develop retention strategies, service standards, and escalation protocols
Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for sales, marketing, and product improvement
Lead strategic marketing initiatives to identify, evaluate, and open new markets and sales channels
Define and refine brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
Oversee marketing campaigns and sales enablement materials aligned with revenue objectives
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform strategic planning
Capture authentic marketing content from prospective and existing customers, including:
On-site videos of product demonstrations and trial experiences
Customer testimonials, quotes, and success stories
Ensure proper consent and compliance for all recorded content
Collaborate closely with the Social Media and Marketing teams to deliver high-quality creative assets for digital channels
Identify compelling customer narratives that support brand credibility and sales effectiveness
Build, mentor, and motivate high-performing sales, marketing, and customer care teams
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution appropriate to a growth-stage company
Implement and optimize CRM systems, reporting tools, and performance dashboards
Partner with executive leadership to align revenue strategy with company vision and growth objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
7–10+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership
Proven success driving revenue growth and opening new markets or channels
Experience managing internal sales, external field sales, and customer-facing service teams
Comfortable capturing customer-facing marketing content (video, testimonials) in a professional and compliant manner
Strategic planning and execution
Market and channel development
Sales performance management and forecasting
Customer experience leadership
Cross-functional collaboration
Ability to lead at both executive and hands-on levels in a fast-paced environment
