Key Account Manager

Responsibilities

Track and Maintain Customer Satisfaction
Manage existing relationships
Manage Day 2 projects and pricing
Create and manage strong relationships with clients and maintain the highest standard of customer satisfaction
Create a cadence of communication to stay top of mind to assigned accounts/projects
Identify, develop, and grow consultative relationships with key contacts for assigned accounts
Track customer satisfaction in weekly department meeting
Attend and assist with Annual Business reviews for specified clients
For projects that require design, work with design team to provide product solutions and specifications for budget development. Lead team on final deliverable and present to client
For projects where a designer is not involved (ancillary projects), present and specify ancillary product solutions and create deliverables in PowerPoint, Scout, etc
Track, analyze, and report results regarding sales activity and accurate monthly sales forecasts within assigned accounts
Company team structure evolves, support sales team with project coordination tasks such as scheduling, status reports, punch list orders, etc
Assume responsibility for growing existing accounts
Identify gaps in product and service for assigned accounts
Find ways to increase gross profit for existing customers
Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day business and strategize with the sales executive on how to create growth
Nurture the long-term potential of smaller accounts in high-growth industries
Conduct weekly touchpoints with dormant and existing accounts
Monitor organizational changes or realignments that may affect future purchasing behavior or decision-making within assigned accounts
Understand the marketplace and market segments. Maintain an awareness of Continua’s competitors within key existing accounts
Maintain a current working knowledge of developments in the contract furniture industry and related products, applications, and design concepts
Establish regular communication with Senior Sales Executives regarding long-term account objectives and pricing strategies

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Design, Business, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, design, or project management within the commercial office furniture industry or a related field
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn other systems and programs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a clearly defined business process
Capability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, allocate time, and adapt quickly to changing circumstances
A resilient mindset to navigate potential changes under tight turnaround times
Ability to serve as a resourceful problem solver: quickly clarifying the nature of a challenge, evaluating alternatives, and proposing solutions
Skills in professional communication with a willingness to develop and invest in strong relationships with customers and team members
Willingness to attend networking events, out-of-state industry training, and customer events
Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. This position may require travel between offices, jobsites, and/or client locations, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting light luggage, and adapting to different time zones
