They are seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to ensure the reliability of assigned plant systems, solve system and component problems, and provide technical support for operation and maintenance at Plant Vogtle 1&2.

Responsibilities
Ensure the reliability of assigned plant systems
Solve system and component problems
Provide direct technical support for operation and maintenance
Plan long term performance improvements
Manage special projects as opportunities arise
Take key refueling outage assignments
Prepare for supervisory and management positions through developmental assignments in operations, maintenance, training, or quality assurance
Fulfill on-call duty engineer and emergency plan response requirements
Qualification
Required
BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited university or a PE license is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven organizational skills with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
Capable of working efficiently and effectively across organizations
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products, specifically WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT
An ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions, based on experience and appropriate industry practices, in order to make timely decisions which might impact plant safety and reliability
Preferred
PE License desired
Prior experience in controls is preferred
A background in engineering with working knowledge of applicable discipline codes and standards
Previous experience in systems engineering, programs engineering, component engineering or design engineering preferred
Previous experience in Environmental Qualification
Working knowledge in Nuclear Plant Systems, structures and components preferred
