Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy build automation for Oracle databases on AWS Outposts
Collaborate with Oracle DBA teams to integrate automation into existing operational processes
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
Support Oracle database deployments across on-prem, AWS Outposts, and public cloud environments
Pioneer and implement Oracle patch automation for public cloud environments
Contribute to future MySQL automation initiatives as scope expands
Ensure automation follows enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards
Troubleshoot and optimize automated database builds and patching workflows
Document automation frameworks, deployment standards, and operational runbooks
Qualification
Required
Strong experience as an Oracle DBA (installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning)
Hands-on experience with AWS, including AWS Outposts or hybrid cloud environments
Proven experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform
Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation
Experience with build automation for databases or infrastructure
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments
Experience working in collaborative, multi-team enterprise environments
Preferred
Experience with Oracle databases in public cloud environments (AWS, OCI, or others)
Exposure to MySQL administration or automation
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure or database automation
Scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar)
Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and change management processes
