Commercial Lines Marketing Associate
Boxwood Insurance Group is dedicated to offering clients peace of mind and confidence in their coverage. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented insurance professional to support the marketing and placement of commercial lines insurance, playing a key role in securing new business and retaining renewal business.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with producers and account executives to develop effective marketing strategies for new and renewal commercial insurance business
Review, prepare, input, and submit complete and accurate new business and renewal submissions to insurance carriers
Quote coverage using carrier rating tools, comparative raters, or by submitting to underwriters as appropriate
Analyze carrier quotes, coverage options, pricing, and terms; assist with negotiation and present recommendations
Prepare marketing summaries outlining coverage terms, rates, commissions, bind orders, and carrier responses, including declinations
Track and manage marketing activity to ensure timely placement of coverage
Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurance carriers, brokers, underwriters, producers, and internal team members
Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for clients
Ensure all marketing and placement activity is accurately documented in the agency management system
Stay current on industry trends, carrier appetites, underwriting guidelines, and insurance product changes
Provide guidance and support to producers and account management teams regarding market conditions and carrier preferences
Perform essential functions in accordance with company service standards, best practices, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance, marketing, placement, or account management
Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages including property, casualty, general liability, workers' compensation, and related lines
Experience with agency management systems and carrier submission/quoting platforms (e.g., InsuredMine, AMS360, or similar)
Familiarity with underwriting, rating concepts, and marketing workflows
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Sales-driven and solution-oriented mindset aligned with production and growth goals
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining effective relationships with internal and external partners
Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
