Responsibilities
Perform production assembly operations, system analysis, testing, and performance optimization
Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, or software issues on test equipment
Analyze test data to determine pass/fail results and provide solutions
Optimize system performance including precision movement and light systems
Build, integrate, and understand full instrument assembly processes
Conduct functional and release testing on moderately complex instruments
Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements
Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards
Provide training and support to other associates on testing and mechanical activities
Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
Process and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs)
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
Perform material handling of raw materials and sub-assemblies
Support Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) initiatives
Work overtime as needed to meet business requirements
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED with 3.5 years of manufacturing experience OR an AA technical degree with relevant skills
Experience testing moderately complex instruments
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with torque drivers, gauges, bits, and tools
Ability to read drawings and measure dimensions accurately
Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Strong math and analytical skills
Basic PC skills and Windows environment familiarity
Ability to manage multiple production orders and changing assignments
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Understanding of Quality procedures and GMP standards
High School Diploma or GED
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred
Experience mentoring or training other associates
Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience (Kaizen, CI projects, shift start-up meetings)
Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments
