Territory Sales Representative
Tuckerman Consulting is a leading B2B commercial construction supply distributor known for its employee-first, relationship-driven sales culture. The Territory Sales Representative will focus on B2B outside sales and business development, selling a broad portfolio of commercial building materials while managing and growing a high-performing sales territory.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a B2B territory sales strategy focused on new business acquisition, account penetration, and revenue growth
Drive consistent outbound business development through cold calling, job-site visits, networking, and contractor relationship building
Identify customer needs through solution-based selling and consultative sales methodologies
Build trusted relationships with decision-makers across operations, procurement, estimating, and executive leadership
Partner with inside sales to manage pricing, quoting, order execution, and account follow-up
Support project-based sales, including bids, quotes, takeoffs, and proposal management
Coordinate sales efforts through pre-construction, active build, and project close-out
Serve as a trusted B2B sales advisor and territory manager within the commercial construction market
Attend job-site meetings, customer visits, trade events, and sales training sessions
Stay current on market trends, product innovations, pricing strategies, and building codes
Qualification
Required
2+ years of success in B2B outside sales, territory sales, or business development
Proven hunter mentality with experience generating net-new B2B revenue
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and account management skills
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a field-based B2B sales territory
Preferred
Experience in construction materials, building products, industrial distribution, or contractor sales strongly preferred
